Already two months
My son turned two months last Tuesday. Two months!! I can't believe how fast time flies! I've wanted to post so many times, having so many things to say, but I just can't seem to find the time. P went back to work on Tuesday too. So before that, we just spent every second we had together, as a family. And now, well, having the baby all to myself is keeping me real busy. I still have time to read other blogs, but can't seem to be able to sit down long enough to write a nice post. So, anywho, here I am! Doing wonderful, as is Félix. He is such a good baby, almost never cries. He has been smiling to us for a couple of weeks now. My heart melts every time! Breastfeeding was hard at first, but I stuck to it and now things are going great. I'm so proud I did not give up. I love nursing my little boy. Those moments are really precious to me.In the last two months, my son has had a cold. He has been in the arms of very proud grand-parents, great-grand-parents, uncles, aunts, friends and cousins. He has taken showers with mommy and daddy, he has peed on the table at the clinic, peed on mommy, peed on daddy, pooped on daddy (ahah but not on mommy!), threw up on every shirt we own, watched his first Superbowl with daddy, went for long walks in his stroler, received mail, went to the hospital for a bad diarrhea, went to the mall and got his first vaccines (today!). He is now smiling a lot, talking giberrish to his mobile, staying awake most of the day, looking everywhere, taking the world in. He is very curious, very happy and very fat. He now weights more than 15 pounds! So, nobody told me my milk wasn't good enough for him.
I could go on and on about him, but to the world, he's just a baby. To me, he's the world.
People kept telling me there was nothing like being a parent. You'll see, it's the most wonderful feeling in the world, they said. I always thought people exagerated. Well, they were right. In fact, I don't think I could find words to express how much I love my son. In two short months, he changed everything. He changed how I see life, he changed how I feel about myself, he changed my priorities. And he made me discover a new kind of love, a love I could not find anywhere else but in his eyes.
You can see pictures of him in my Flicker thingy to the right.

I can't believe it's already been two months! Thank you for sharing those photos. What a beautiful boy...and a beautiful mom!
Thanks also for reminding me why I keep jumping through hoops trying to have a baby. Sometimes, as I go through the motions and continue to face disappointment and frustration, I wonder why I put myself through all this. But then I read posts like this one, and it helps restore my faith and my belief that it will all (hopefully) be worth it in the end.
